Miy project creation and photo by: Madeleine M Langlois
My "Christmas in Paris" theme is based on a mixture composition the old and new. Table My grandmother has always been together with the best china and antique silver. Oil paintings, painted by my grandfather, adorned the walls. His holiday dà © cor was fashioned with sleek satin ribbons, crystals, shimmering, and excellent White Christmas tree, decorated with few ornaments, but the removal. Place cards, Christmas crackers and a piece custom coordinated the whole. She always used fresh greenery and flowers to decorate her house.

Even thecolour palette I chose was nostalgic, a combination of bright turquoise, surrounded by green and blue with accents pastels in shades like silver, angelic whites and chocolate brown. As a young girl, these unusual combinations of colors of Christmas is a very strong impression on me. My table this year is a tribute to my grandmother who is now 98 years old. One could say that the style influences and traditions are also transmitted from generation to generation. With this specific concept in mind, the picture I chose is a dining room cream colored set by Tommy Bahama. This set was very close in resemblance, form and style of the point I wanted to recreate. Although this series is especially for a plantation in the Bahamas, which is much more popular, it worked wonders for my goal.
The square patterned taffeta table runners are bright blocks of color iridescent emerald green, turquoise sea and rich blues. The runner organza center panel is a color pastel aqua. The riders are all edges trimmed in satin luxury. The water main is a simple skirt in a delicious coffee color ©-au-lait. It is bordered by a multicolor trim wool based fiber fun.
To put in place for four, I chose the Platinum collection by Noritake Rochelle - fine china white, trimmed with a border exquisitely textured silver dots. I've uploaded images of the Eiffel Tower, in shades of blue, the center plates clear. Using clear plate allows the image light to stand out on the white porcelain.
Under the locale, Sit silver plates beautiful beaded edges. The glasses are from the collection of Vera Wang Grossgrain. Tiny white dots and stripes border line the curved glass. For water glasses, I transformed plain glasses (picked up at a rummage sale) of turquoise and green stripes with glass paintings.
I wanted a smart, funny play again with a different key. I used a crystal cake stand square filled with matching pearls, green and silver balls, and placed a pillar candle in the center. To decorate the cage and the buffet I fresh greens, provided by Westmont Florists charge of arrangements. branches of eucalyptus, pine and willow branches, the lace of Queen Anne and Ornitogalums are refined with silver accents hair Angel. The vases are accented with squares of marble model, mixing assorted shades of blue and green.
The crystal candlesticks are Bejeweled with a crystal beaded fringe, which is repeated throughout the theme. The tea-light holders candle is a flounce of white feathers. Two frosted glass votive lamps are clear beaded micro-forms of Eiffel Towers. I saw a vintage chandelier to coordinate with the environment. I Painted silver, has added fine details such as: Crystal beaded fringe, fancy white wool and soft money, draped with beads, ribbons sumptuous, and crystal jewelry pendant (made from recycled material other than I). I created a mini art gallery incorporating mainly photographs with assorted art mediums, including painting of
Eiffel Tower, illuminated by tiny lights of rice. photo montages are made with panoramic pictures of Paris placed on canvases covered with rice paper pattern. Two paintings were covered with textured wallpaper and lined with satin ribbons. My teenage son Spencer has contributed to the gallery with a mini sign graffiti in Paris using oil pastels on canvas.
For details Finishing the backs of chairs have been decorated with a blue satin ribbon, a tassel of crystal beads and a pine branch surrounded by a swirl accent thread money. I asked for photos of family on self-hardening clay to create a tree advent calendar and attaches to a tree table white feathers. A coordination center square crown feathers a large round mirror.
The Christmas tree: a tree-shaped Eiffel Tower made of willow branches is gracefully feathered boa, a white fluffy. Tiny balls of glass and paper ornaments are decorated with feathers, crystals, beads and a garland made sequences.I simple using a silver wire spiral, a few pine branches Holly forms of money made from sheet and wire money to spell the word Christmas l. I have mini Eiffel Towers wire for card holders instead. Fake chocolate were made with clay.
The gifts were wrapped in unique forms of candy, and frilly purses using various papers, photographs, fabrics and ribbons left by material created for this theme. monogram thread, the old labels, and fun fur was also incorporated in some of the pretty envelopes. Handmade greeting cards have been adapted using similar materials, and also beads, silver foil, Fuzzy wool, reducing the film designs and sequins. There is so much to describe, a tray of memories of Paris travel, candles, cake boxes hat, picture sumptuous throw, and more.
The decorations that I created for my table theme, even if they seem very developed, can easily be reconstituted with craft supplies very little available in the arts and crafts and fabric stores and many remains of different around your house. Make your holiday special, customize it!
