Fudge Brownie Cake with Chocolate Frosting nut

Calling all chocolate lovers! If you're a chocoholic, a delicious walnut brownie Fudge Cake fudge is for you. This recipe is simple and can be done and in the oven 20 minutes or less. Thirty minutes of cooking and you're out of the oven. It is also a cake that freezes well. A perfect recipe to make two while you're there and freeze one for later use in last minute or simply on a busy day. To freeze, let cake cool completely. Do not add the glass! Wrap tightly in plastic, then wrap in paper. Freeze up to a month.

FUDGE AND NUT CAKE BROWNIE

This recipe was in a collection of recipes I found.

1 / 2 cup butter
1 / 2 cup dark corn syrup
1 cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
1 / 2 cup granulated sugar
3 eggs
v. tsp vanilla 1 extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, your preference

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease and flour a 9 inch cake round cake pan and set aside.

Mix the butter and corn syrup in a saucepan. Move mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Add chocolate chips and stir until it melts. Remove from heat. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended. Blend in flour and nuts. Pour batter into prepared pan cake. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for about 10 minutes, then unmold onto a rack to cool. For the frosting below and pour over cooled cake.

Frosting:

2 / 3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter
4 c. tablespoons dark corn syrup
2 tablespoons milk Tea
nuts chopped for garnish

In a saucepan, combine chocolate, butter and corn syrup. Cook the mixture over low heat until the chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and stir in milk. Pour the icing on the cake while it is still on the grill (be sure to have a plate cookie sheets, wax paper or something under the grill to catch drips. Let stand until glaze sets. Garnish with chopped nuts, if desired.
