Christmas Chocolates Delivered
My parents lied to me about God when I was a child!?
When you're young your parents tell you that a magical elf delivers presents at Christmas, they also tell you that a magic fairy takes you're teeth in exchange for money, and that a giant bunny brings you chocolate eggs for Easter, and finally that if you "pray" to an invisible person he will grant you wishes.
I used to believe in all of the above when I was younger. But when I was about 5 or 6 I stopped believing in the tooth fairy and the Easter bunny, then when I was about 7 or 8 I stopped believing in Santa Claus, then when I was about 12 I stopped believing in God. Looking back now they all seem very childish and I find it hard to believe that I was so gullible. I have never heard of an adult believing in Santa Claus, the tooth fairy or the Easter bunny, so if we stop believing in these things when we are children then why are there still adults that believe in God?

Good question..I'd like to know the answer as well..
Mabe some people have a "god" as their last belief- perhaps it is fear that keeps them believing in "god."
Some people out there have a fear of being alone..without something to believe in..I think this is why believers in god have not let go...I have spoken to some believers..who are afraid that if they didn't believe, then they would be sent to "hell" which is beyond me, because they choose to believe in heaven/hell..
