Chocolate Wafer Recipe
I need a good recipe for Amaretto balls!?
I used to have a recipe that called for vanilla wafers and pecans - and they were rolled in coconut. They are like rum balls but you use beverage alcoholic Amaretto instead of rum. They may have had semi-sweet, too. Does anyone know what I mean? Need your recipe! Thank you!
Amaretto Butter Balls 1 cup butter 2 cups confectioners sugar 1 2 1 / 2 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 / 4 cup amaretto liqueur 3 / 4 cup finely chopped almonds ) 1 / 2 cup confectioners optional ('sugar for rolling Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, beat together butter and 1 / 2 cup of confectionery sugar until smooth. Stir in flour and salt and mix well, then stir in liqueur Amaretto. Stir in almonds chopped, if desired. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls. Place the cookies 2 inches from the cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the oven preheated. Cool cookies on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Roll remaining in the cookies / 2 cup confectioners sugar 1 still warm. Hopefully this is similar to what you're looking for.
