Chocolate Usage
Question about Verizon data plans?
Okay so I got a brand new LG Chocolate Touch a few days ago and I have no data plan on it because my dad refuses... hence why I didn't get the EnV Touch that requires one.
Anyway I was just fooling around with the internet features and I was able to pull up my e-mail. On my old EnV if I tried to use internet it would warn me beforehand that it would cost $1.99 for 24 hours of usage or whatever. But this time I just got onto my e-mail with nothing stopping me and no warnings.
This is probably a stupid question that I should know based on my plan... but is this randomly going to be added to my bill as a one-time usage feel or something like the $1.99 or is internet use in my general plan somehow even if I don't have any of the $9.99 - 29.99 a month data plans?

If you dont have the data packages you will be charged per-use when you go online. And, no, not all the new phones warn you because that has to do with your Verizon contract, not your phone. (ie: sony ericsson isnt responsible for warning you about data so they may not build that feature into the phone) You will probably be billed the 1.99. I would strongly suggest to know your plan in and out tho. If you have the "basic" or "select" plan no data is included unless you added the 15.00 Vpak. If you didnt, you need to have either the "connect" or "premium" plans where that feature is built right in.
