Shrink film packaging is used to packing boxes of software, DVDs, soap, chocolates and more. For a small business using a volume shrinking industrial machine envelope is not always an option. This is where I-bar machines and hunters come in.

I-bar shrink wrap machines are designed primarily for jobs from low to medium volume. They are affordable, but can not be used for high volume packaging. I-bar hunters to use a single bar to seal the film around a package, hence the "I" in I-bar. They are sometimes shrink wrap machine called straight. Generally, a total of three passes of the bar are required to completely encapsulate a shape object square.

Once a product has been sealed in the film, a heat gun is used to reduce the film well. Gun Hot air is like a hair dryer, but emits much more heat. The contraction process usually takes a few minutes for the operator moves the product and shrinks all sides. The contraction process can be accelerated by using a heat tunnel, that applies even heat to all parts of a product at a time.

Many Shrink wrap machines come in system. That means they include replacing some parts, a starter roll of shrink film and a heat gun. Remember not check beforehand to see exactly what comes with the packaging system shrink. Many people for a certain machine, it does not report does not come with everything needed to start.

I-bar shrink wrap machines can be used with the two most common types of shrink film, which is PVC and polyolefin (Poly). Both films are clear. PVC shrink film is generally used for packaging cans, CDs and DVDs. PVC film can not be used with food. polyolefin film, on the other hand can be used with food. Polyolefin film is also more flexible than the PVC film. Poly film emits less odor than PVC and is recommended for use over PVC in rooms with poor ventilation.

I-bar machines are generally available with heat or impulse sealing. heat sealers use a wire heated to melt the shrink wrap film. Impulse sealers use electrical impulses to cut through the film. Both types of hunters operate at about the same speed. Impulse sealers emit less odor and do not burn the edges.

I-bar shrink wrap machines require little maintenance. The cutting should be cleaned and changed occasionally. The pad and Teflon tape in the I-arm bar and the base must be modified because they wear out. The wire, pad and Teflon tape can be changed quickly and does not require special skills to do.
