Easy to Make Fudge Your Family Will Love

Who does not like Fudge? Set out a tray of home-made fudge or fudge brownies and your family and friends will soon eaten. Fudge is also ideal for office parties. Fondant chocolate has become a very traditional dessert in the United States not only for the holidays but throughout the year.

There are many variations to making fudge. Unless you choose to do so you will never have to same way twice. The recipe included here require the use of nuts, but you can substitute your favorite foods to Fudge that is perfect for you. Maybe you do not like nuts, but prefer candied cherries, coconut, or marshmallows. These and many other things can be substituted the nuts (or added along with them) when you create your Fudge. If you do use nuts in your fudge, peanuts, pecans or walnuts are the best, but all the nuts will be fine.

To make your fudge extra special you may want to add a topping to it like peanut butter, walnut pieces or slices of cherry.

Do not be afraid to experiment with different combinations of ingredients. To make peanut Butterscotch simply replace the peanut butter instead of chocolate chips.

Fudge Recipe

2 1 / 2 cups sugar
1 / 2 cup butter or margarine
(You will also need additional margarine to coat the sheet)
7 oz marshmallow cream
2 cups wood chips chocolate
3 / 4 cup chopped walnuts
14 oz box of sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp tea vanilla extract

Line a 13x9 pan inches of foil or waxed paper and spread butter or margarine on the foil or paper. Use a large saucepan combine sugar, margarine and evaporated milk. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, making sure to stir constantly for 5 minutes.

Remove the mixture from heat and add marshmallows and chocolate. Stir until it becomes smooth. Then, combine nuts and vanilla.

Put your fudge mixture into 13x9 pan and let cool to room temperature. Once it has cooled, you may cut into squares and place in refrigerator until firm.
