Chocolate Cornflake Cookies
Any yummy cookie/cake recipes to recommend? ?
Am an amateur baker, so would like to try out more delicious and simple recipes. Other than chocolate chip/chunk cookies, cutout cookies, cornflake cookies, and cupcakes. Thanks!
CAKE BALLS
You can use any flavor cake mix and icing you choose.
Try a red velvet mix and tinted almond bark with green coloring for christmas. You must refrigerate cake mix in order to roll into balls.
36 cake balls
1 lemon cake mix, any brand
1 container ready made lemon frosting, any brand
1 package almond bark (1 & 1/4 pound pkg)
Directions
1) Bake cake according to directions on package.
2) Let cool completely.
3) Crumble cake mix in large bowl and mix in container of icing.
4) Mix well (I find it is easiest to use hands).
5) Refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes or until it will hold together when rolled into a 2 inch ball.
6) In saucepan over low heat or double boiler, melt almond bark.
7) Roll cake mixture into 2 inch balls.
Dip balls in melted almond bark and set on waxed paper to dry.
COLORFUL COOKIES
1 (3oz) pkg. fruit jello.
1C powdered sugar
1C butter, melted
2 1/4 C flour
1 tsp salt
Heat oven to 350. Reserve 1 TB dry gelatin for glaze. Mix remaining gelatin, powdered sugar & butter. Stir in flour & salt. Shape into 1" balls. Place about 2" apart on ungreases cookie sheet. Bake until set, but not brown. 8-10 min. Cool. Remove from cookie sheet.
Colorful Glaze: Mix reserved gelatin & 3 TB hot water. Let stand 5 min. Stir in 2 C powdered sugar & 1 teaspoon vanilla until smooth. Dip top of cookies into glaze. Decorate w/nuts, coconut, colored sugar, small candies, or chocolate.
