5 Classic Cookie Recipes Holiday Cookie Making More Advice

When it comes to the holidays, I always look forward to baking cookies for my family. I tend to go to sea with making biscuits. I usually bake 12-14 different varieties.

I would like to share a cookie to make a few tips with you today.

1. Uncooked dough can be covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours. The paste can also be frozen for up to 9 months.

2. Dip cutters in flour or icing sugar, shake to remove excess before cutting the cookies.

3. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper or a baking mat silicone to make cleaning easier.

4. Spray your spoon with non-coated cooking. This will help the dough to slide more easily.

5. Blades your drummer Spray non-stick spray cooking to prevent the dough from sticking to them.

6. Remove cookies from your oven 1-2 minutes before the recommended cooking time. They will finish cooking on the baking sheet.

Sugar Cookies

5 c. flour
2 v. Tea. vanilla
1 tsp Tea. baking powder
2 v. sugar
3 / 4 c. Tea. baking soda
2 eggs
1 1 / 2 c. milk
1 tsp butter

Cream sugar and butter together. Add vanilla and eggs, beat until smooth. Stir in milk, baking soda and baking powder. Slowly blend in flour. Drop by teaspoon on a greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle on any desired filling. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 tsp shortening
1 tsp butter
2 v. Brown Sugar
1 tsp Tea. vanilla
4 c. flour
2 v. Tea. baking soda
1 tsp Tea. salt
1 tsp sour cream or buttermilk
1 LG. package chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients together. Drop by the teaspoonful on baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Cookies peanut butter

3 / 4 c. Creamy peanut butter
1 / 2 c. shortening
1 1 / 4 c. light brown sugar
3 c. soup. milk
1 c. soup. vanilla
1 egg
1 3 / 4 c. flour
3 / 4 c. Tea. salt
3 / 4 c. Tea. baking soda

Combine butter Peanut, shortening, light brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat on medium speed until smooth. Add egg. Beat again. Mix flour, salt and baking soda on low speed until blended. Drop by teaspoon on baking sheet. Flatten slightly in the profile of the interference of a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes.

Pecan Sandies

1 tsp butter or margarine
1 / 4 cup granulated sugar
2 v. Tea. vanilla
2 v. all-purpose flour
1 tsp pecans minced
1 / 4 cup powdered sugar

Beat butter for 30 seconds, add the granulated sugar and beat until fluffy. Add vanilla and 2 tbsp Tea. water and beat well. Stir in flour and pecans. Shape into 1 "balls. Place on a baking sheet non-greased. Bake in oven at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool completely. Sprinkle cooled cookies with a thin layer of icing sugar.

Sand Tarts

1 tsp butter
1 1 / 2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp Tea. vanilla
1 / 2 tsp. salt
1 tsp soup. milk
3 c. flour
1 tsp Tea. baking powder
egg white

In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Second bowl, cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, salt and milk. Mix well. Now add the flour mixture. Refrigerate any night. Roll thin and cut with cookie cutters. Before cooking, have the egg white into the dish. Use a pastry brush and brush lightly cookies. Then sprinkle with colored sugars desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 5-8 minutes.
