Wel, it is not true. Interestingly this is one of the most common questions I hav ever heard. Legends hav been written for this query. Gr8 wall of China was built in the reign of more than one dynasty.
A story says that it is made by melting bones of workers who died there.
Another says that it was made because the Dragon was enraged by selfish kings and he decided not to protect the people.
By scannning the outer layer of the wall archeologists hav found that it is made by compressing huge layers of sand, mud ,mortar,etc in layers.
There are still controversies for the fact.
